My name is Lauren and I am a game and UI/UX designer. I recently completed my degree in game design at Champlain College. I've spent 5 years creating, collaborating and leading QA on numerous games and applications. In my most recent job, I was a UI/UX designer on a mobile app that teaches people how to build computers!
Over the past few years, I have worked in almost every designer role; level, narrative, systems, sound, etc. I have a passion for design and want to create meaningful and unique experiences. One of the best feelings, in my opinion, is seeing someone have fun or be super immersed while playing/testing your game. My favorite achievement was when I created my own board game and my entire family came over to test it out.
Other than design, my interests include drawing, playing D&D, reading and not surprisingly playing videogames. I have been learning French and Spanish in my free time! I hope to become fluent in both, mainly because I love traveling, but it would also let me have more opportunities to meet new people!
I am actively looking for a position as either a general designer, a UI/UX designer or a QA tester in the game or tech industry. I have experience and passion for design and hope to do this for the rest of my life!
