The game begins with the player character at the very beginning of the Appalachian Trail. They start off with full bars of hunger and thirst and must hike to the next camp (checkpoint) while maintaining their resources.
The player can consume food items to restore hunger/thirst and rest to restore energy. They also must watch their character's inventory weight, this will affect how much energy is lost when moving.
In order to make it to the end before winter, the player must choose how fast their character should move, how often they should rest and what items to bring between each checkpoint.

Project Duration - 4 weeks (March 2018)
My main responsibilities for this project were designing the mechanics and systems. I had to figure out the stats and numbers behind everything the player could control. The inventory, player resources and movement specifically.
This project ended up being extremely stressful on our entire team. We had a lot of work to do, and only 4 weeks to accomplish it. However, we pulled through and created a solid product! I gained a lot of experience designing systems and confidence as a designer during this project.
